Have you ever thought about what your Dream Bigger would look like? In today’s world, I don’t think people have dreams or a bucket list of things they want to accomplish. Kids will never know what it feels like to go on a family vacation. I know growing up we would go to Disney World almost every year or two. That is something my sister and I would look forward to every time we had planned on going. We would map out our days so that we were constantly going on one of our favorite rides or shows.
So I wanted to sit down and really think about what I wanted my Dream Bigger to be
Let’s start with the next couple of years
So my first dream bigger is to be able to purchase my first home in a totally different state than I am in now. My husband, youngest daughter, and I went on vacation back in August. We have had a tough year so we need to have some time to ourselves, away from the hustle and family issues at home. It was what I thought would be a much-needed vacation and come back refreshed, but it didn’t work out that way.
I will always remember that first stop to get fuel when we crossed over the Indiana state line. My husband said that if fuel was still at $5.25/gallon, then we were going to turn around and go back to Gulf Shores. I said you will never leave Indiana! That is where we both grow up and raised our family, our parents, and jobs are here. So fuel was $5.25/gallon just miles into Indiana and hasn’t really gone down since and we have been back a month. But the moment we got home he was ready to go back. I figured it was just the lack of sleep that we had, so I said let’s sleep on it. So we went to sleep for a couple of hours, and when we woke up he said are you ready to go back? I have been asked this question daily since then.
So at this very moment, we are trying to pack up our belonging and are really going to take that initial plunge and are going to move to Alabama. So with that being said within the next few years. I am in hope to have my credit good enough and have the money that I need to purchase my first home.
My Long-Term Dream Bigger
I have had to really sit down to think about this Dream Bigger. I have always been the one that stops everything to help family members out. Yes, it has always been a great feeling to be able to do that. Like right now I was the one that quit my job to be the primary caregiver to my grandmother. With no help other than my husband. If the past year had gone differently I wouldn’t probably be in the situation that I am in.
We had a house fire back in November, we lost everything. So we had to move in with my grandmother. That wasn’t such a big thing since we did live right next to her, my family was all right there and our dogs were used to the property already.
My long-term Dream Bigger is to be able to continue to work from home and to have the finances that I would be able to flip houses. I have always loved to watch those home improvement shows. I could make it a family adventure. My husband would be able to quit his job, my oldest daughter could help out. Also by the time, I could finally able to achieve this dream my youngest daughter could help out.
So I will be able to achieve all of this with this wonderful PBS System. So I am going to set my Dream Bigger goal in 10 years. If you want to live the best life that is available write down what you want to achieve and hang it everywhere that you. Such as the refrigerator, the front door, the back door, and even in your car. So that you have to look at it daily.
